They play jazz-inflected experimental folk rock.

Their live set balances structure and rigidity with chaos and improvisation.Safety jacketSafety jacket is an indie rock band, that started life in Brighton in 2019, now mainly based in London.

Known for their raw and passionate live performance, they have released two albums so far, 'Honey From the Wasp Nest' (2022) and 'Snow Falling Over the Sea' (2025) and are currently in the midst of recording their third album.Tortured devicesStarting out as a one-man freak-folk project in 2022, Tortured Devices consists of a close-knit community of revolving musicians who all found each other in Brighton.

Telling stories from anywhere between the West Texas Highway and the Anatolian Stepps, they fuse Americana with a cross-cultural twist.

While lyrically channeling the poetics of Silver Jews and Bob Dylan, the band’s sound avoids getting too comfortable in any specific genre, shifting between Pavement’s slacker rock, Wilco’s alternative country, and Alex G’s lo-fi ballads.Presented by Short WavesThis is an 18+ event
