Introduction to Chinese culture

A free introduction to Chinese Culture through lectures and practical workshops by Lancaster University Confucius Institute.You are not required to participate in all of them though you are very welcome to do so.Each week's topics are: 30th May - How Film Came to China: The Rise of Early Chinese Film and Its Cultural Roots 6th June - Papercutting: a blend of the decoration, the wisdom and the creativity of Chinese people 13th June - Discover the Magic of Peking Opera: A Journey into China’s Living Heritage 20th June - The Terracotta Warriors: Immortality, Power, and the Art of the Afterlife in Ancient China 27th June - The charm of Chinese Traditional Music 4th July - The Story of Hanfu (Chinese clothing) 11th July - The Beauty of Chinese tea 18th July - What is education for?
