Public Rehearsal

Following qualification for the 2026 British Open Championship, Hepworth Band is pleased to invite audiences to a public rehearsal at Ossett Town Hall.Under the direction of Ryan Watkins, the band will be preparing Philip Sparke's Music of the Spheres, the set work for this year's British Open.This rehearsal offers a rare opportunity to hear the music in the final stages of preparation and gain an insight into the work that goes into contest performances at the highest level of brass banding.The rehearsal follows an exciting year for the band, having secured British Open qualification with a second-place finish at the Grand Shield.

Alongside appearances at the British Open, National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain and Brass in Concert, the autumn promises to be an important chapter in the band's continued journey.Whether you are a brass band enthusiast, a musician, a supporter of Hepworth Band, or simply curious to hear one of the brass band's great modern works, you will be very welcome.
