Performed by a cast and band of pupils from Third Form to Upper Sixth, Brodie and Co. is a gripping new production inspired by the true story of Deacon William Brodie, respected cabinet maker by day, notorious thief by night, whose double life would later inspire Robert Louis Stevensons Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.
Set in the smoky underworld of 18th-century Edinburgh, the musical combines dark humour, memorable songs and a richly atmospheric score to explore morality, ambition and survival. Featuring a fierce heroine alongside a colourful cast of drunks, dreamers and dilettantes, the production promises wit, grit and heart in equal measure.
