Gloucester Cathedral Organ Festival: Organ Masterclass with Wayne Marshall

The Gloucester Cathedral Organ Festival programme has been rescheduled.

As such this event has been moved from 15 June 2026 to 19 July 2026.

This enables us to give our newly installed organ additional time after its completion to settle, undergo final tuning and refinement ahead of its celebration, and that you can experience it at its very best.The Gloucestershire Cantata event date remains the same.Step into the creative process with one of the world’s great musicians.../Members of the public are warmly invited to observe a special masterclass led by Wayne Marshall OBE in the Cathedral Quire.

In this unique open session, Wayne will work with local organ students, exploring the art of improvisation under his expert guidance.With Wayne mic’d and the screen in use, you’ll be able to see and hear every detail as he shares insights, techniques and musical inspiration - offering a rare glimpse into the creative process at the console.
