Thanks to the exciting Street Museum project, we are delighted to be delivering an exciting new project to help create The Barnard Castle Tapestry. Join this creative workshop where local people come together to design and stitch a unique community tapestry inspired by Barnard Castle.Across six relaxed, hands-on sessions, well explore different periods of time and places from local history to global influences using museum collections from across the North East as inspiration. Participants will create their own simple embroidered patches, sharing stories, memories, and ideas that reflect the community.This workshop is suitable to all ages, individuals and families. Children must be accompanied.You are welcome to come to one workshop or multiple.No experience is needed just curiosity and creativity. Together, well stitch a lasting artwork that celebrates Barnard Castle, past and present.Sessions are:
