Popular local amateur dramatic group, the Allerton Players, present a varied evening of entertainment.This is your chance to see the one-act play ‘Life in the Cloud’ by Tony Domaille with which the Allerton Players won three awards at the 2026 Saltburn Drama Festival.The play, which is a bittersweet comedy, is about Ian, a workaholic, who is obsessed with his scientific work, until his sudden death.

But before he died, he had discovered how to upload his consciousness to The Cloud.

Now he’s trying to continue to live from the ether, whilst his wife, Mary, desperately tries to get on with her life and a new relationship.In addition, the Allerton Players will present a number of short original dramatic monologues written and performed by their members, showcasing a range of different characters, all with something to say!
