LINE UP is a music festival brought to you by Severn Arts [https://www.severnarts.org.uk] and Malvern Hills District Council that showcases a range of experimental musicacross different genres.Since 2023, Line Up has established itself as a high-quality, new, experimental music festival, putting Malvern on the alternative music map.
We have been thrilled at its reception by musicians & audiences over the past three years.
Line Ups aim is to delight audiences with established & new acts, whilst inspiring & equipping local emerging musicians with skills and networks.Line Up was developed in response to consultation with Malvern creatives and music lovers, to fill a gap in Malvern for a more diverse, alternative approach.Announcements so far.....THE CLIENTELE
a guitar pop band who instantly came up with a sound that was all their own; hazy, autumnal and hookily sad with yearning vocals, chiming, arpeggiated guitars and a calmly elastic rhythm section -- and tinkered with it successfully over a long, fruitful career.BRIDGET HAYDEN AND THE APPARITIONS
Bridget Hayden is an experimental musician, who invited the ghosts in for the classic folk songs that made up her stunning album, Cold Blows the Rain, released one recent bleak winter via the Basin Rock label to much acclaim.DOVER UNLOCKED: RICHARD BUNDY & ANNA PHOEBE
Composers Richard and Anna will be performing music from their new album: From The Edge. The album reimagines and quietly subverts the accepted narrative of this UK coastal border town - a long-form musical work shaped by the acoustics, history, and atmosphere of Dover.DAVID BOULTER
a member of the long established group tindersticks. His solo work, released through his own label and Clay Pipe music, explores instrumental soundscapes, spoken word and soundtrack compositions.THE HARDY TREE
the musical project of illustrator Frances Castle, the founder of Clay Pipe Music. Her music blends her signature woozy synth sound with inspirations from landscape and London's history. She has also composed soundtracks to her graphic novels and performed live alongside her own slow-moving animations.ASTER
Aster are poets and experimental sound makers Alex Keramidas and Catherine Norris. Their practice is informed by perpetual choirs, sacrificial stones and top of the pops, as well as being guided by divination.more acts to be announced soon... keep an eye out!Audiences at 2025s event said:
