Say It With Words

Say it with words is the first solo exhibition from hand lettering artist, illustrator, and muralist Natalie Reilly.

Featuring a series of original paintings, this exhibition will also see Natalie using the space to create her unique hand lettering artwork in real time on canvas, wooden board, and mural-style across the windows of Colonnade House itself.As well as being an artist, Natalie – otherwise known as Thirteen Scorpios – is also a DJ and musician with a cross-modal creative practice.

Her record collection and her artistic output reflect a lifelong desire to understand both the minutiae of the human experience and the shape of the universe.

She creates art with words at its centre to capture a moment, invoke memory, inspire thought, or just look damn nice.

Because art can do multiple things at once.Inspired by the experience of talking to the public while creating murals outdoors, Natalie will incorporate words or phrases from conversations had each day at Colonnade House into the live artwork that she creates.
