A fantastic Friday night of original and traditional tunes from the British Isles to the Balkans with Bonfire Radicals, with support from bandoneon ace Fabio Turchetti! The electrifying sound of Birmingham's fiery, (un)traditional folk band Bonfire Radicals is both intensely creative and irresistibly fun.

Their live set is a frenzy of energy "dynamic and high octane" (Fatea Magazine) capturing the adventurous breadth of their musical imaginations emerging from a melting pot of original and traditional tunes from the British Isles to the Balkans.

Rhythmic grooves, rich vocal harmonies and delicate a cappella all collide and explode into a "crashing rollercoaster of sound...alive with possibility and thrills" (Folk Radio)."A serious powerhouse of a performance ... foot-stomping and adrenalin-powered and came on like folk music played by ravers." - The ArtsdeskIn support, Fabio Turchetti is a multi-instrumentalist (accordion, bandoneon, guitar and vocals) and composer.

In addition to performing in Italy, Fabio has travelled worldwide as a soloist and as an arranger, composer, producer, singer and accordionist with Italian folk group Khaossia.

He is the founder and producer of CPC, the record company with a focus on the musical traditions of his native city, Cremona, and since 1989 has recorded more than 20 albums, winning several awards.Image by Grant Harper
