Inspired by the idea of the kitchen as the heart of the home the concert explores traditions of food, hospitality and conversation through a lively selection of Baroque music.Come and join us in our imagined kitchen as a meal for friends is prepared and shared. As the gathering unfolds, conversation deepens, unexpected musical ingredients appear, and a rich Baroque sound world offers both nourishment and delight.In Handels day, the kitchen was hidden from view yet full of drama, energy and human interaction; today it often sits at the centre of the home, a place for gathering, sharing and storytelling.
