Composer Academy Showcase

A window into the future of contemporary classical music, featuring four new pieces written by a carefully-selected group of leading young composers performed live by the Carice Singers, led by George Parris.

Held in DEYA’s intimate and alternative fringe venue, The Swamp, this concert will include interviews with the composers and musicians themselves.

Expect to hear some completely new sounds and get an insight into the creative process of writing music, interspersed with a curated programme of new music chosen by the ensemble.

Cheltenham Music Festival’s Composer Academy is one of the most sought-after talent development programmes in the country, and this year’s edition has included a week of intensive workshops and seminars led by award-winning composer Laura Bowler.
