Draft: Writers'cafe

Want to hone in your craft of playwriting? Want to get inspiration and think outside the box? Want to work and meet with like minded creatives with the same goal? Then DRAFT: Writer's Cafe is the place for you! Hosted by Associate Artist Sammie Court, expect to challenge yourself and create over a coffee!This session at The Royal Court, will begin with exercises & writing led by Sammie to get the creative juices flowing and to break the ice with you and your fellow creatives.Following this we will have a Q&A with Ciara Elizabeth Smyth, An amazing writer for Stage and Screen. A Shedinburgh run this year with new show THE BRIAR PATCH ; sell out run of their show LIE LOW at the Royal Court Theatre. Televesion ALL HONEY and SAUCE, two shows in development from Ciaras own plays!After the Q&A, you will create a rapid response based off of a secret prompt from Ciara with the opportunity to take that draft home and continue to create a brand new piece of work.DRAFT: 5:30pm-7:45pm, August 18th, Royal Court Theatre
