Softtop

Formed in 2023, SoftTop is the project of songwriter Miles Goodall, blending influences like Andy Shauf, Matt Maltese and Steely Dan with heartfelt, story-driven lyrics and the rich instrumentation of a seven-piece band featuring guitar, bass, drums, keys, clarinet, cello and flute.

Made up of experienced musicians from projects including Hutch, Ideal Living and Sad Dads, the band craft delicate, melodic songs that balance warmth, detail and emotional depth.SoftTop quickly built momentum in Brighton with a string of sold-out headline shows at Rossi Bar, Green Door Store and The Folklore Rooms, alongside festival appearances including 234 Festival and Dedfest.

Their singles Voiceover, Runaway and Broken Glass have received support from outlets including Far Out Magazine and BBC 6 Music, while Runaway was longlisted for Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition.Following a brief pause due to health issues within the band, SoftTop return in 2026 with new material and a debut album set for release this summer.Presented by Gravy Train & BLG Promotions.This is an 18+ event
