Join us for a free glass of wine or soft drink to celebrate the launch of The Swan's 2026-2027 season.A journey through the landscapes and moods of England, past and present.Vaughan Williams's The Lark Ascending and Holst's vibrant Brook Green Suite capture the spaciousness and vitality of the English musical imagination, while music by Elgar, Purcell and Britten reflects earlier strands of the tradition.Songs by Nick Drake and Sting sit naturally alongside folk melodies such as Early One Morning and Scarborough Fair, their lyricism sharing the same sense of place and quiet contemplation.The programme is below:
