Join us for a discussion with Hannah Bruce and Armindokht Shooshtari from Arts Council England. Hannah and Armindokht will give some context about Arts Council, England, and talk about funding opportunities for individual practicing artists.
You can submit a question for Hannah and Armindokht in advance. We will receive questions until 17 June 2026. Any questions submitted after this time will not be considered.This session is free, though booking is essential, and will include an hour-long presentation and discussion as well as networking time with other artists. The Orleans House Gallery Artist Community is open to artists who live, work or study in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.About Hannah and Armindokht:
Armindokht Shooshtari (Armin) is a Relationship Manager in the London Visual Arts & Museums team at Arts Council England (ACE), supporting a portfolio of organisations with a focus on equity, public realm and socially engaged practice. With over 15 years experience across curation, programme development, public funding and policy, she is committed to challenging systemic inequalities in the cultural sector. Prior to joining ACE, Armin was a Creative Producer at New Art Exchange, where she curated over 25 socially engaged exhibitions, with a particular focus on contemporary art practices from West and South Asia and their diasporas. A graduate of the Oxford Cultural Leadership Programme at the University of Oxfords Sad Business School, she champions sustainable, ethical and regenerative leadership.Hannah Bruce is an experienced leader and Creative Producer. She has worked at Arts Council England for 9 years as Relationship Manager (Touring), Senior Manager (Dance), and Senior Manager for 'Developing You Creative Practice'. She recently delivered a series of podcasts focusing on Women in leadership in dance. Hannah delivers funding advice and assesses grant applications for a broad range of businesses & individuals involved in creative, social & cultural developments. Prior to working at Arts Council, England, Hannah was a producer, project manager and artist. She created site specific work for venues such as Wilton's Music Hall, The Barbican, and West Yorkshire Playhouse. Her company was runner up for the Oxford Samuel Beckett Theatre Award.
