Specialist Tour: The Cathedral Close

Did you know The Cathedral Close is the largest enclosed cathedral precinct in England?Join us for a Specialist Tour exploring the history of The Close and the many intriguing characters who have lived there.Discover what happened to the monastic buildings after the Reformation and the dissolution of the monastery, and learn about some of the people who have inhabited the buildings in The Close since.This tour starts at 2.15pm on Wednesday 5 August.Tickets cost 7 per person plus a small booking fee.Please be aware, our special guided tours always sell out quickly so make sure you book a ticket as soon as you can.Please note that tickets for specialist tours are non-refundable.Arriving for the tourJust ask a member of the welcome and donations team when you arrive at the Hostry entrance to the Cathedral, and they will direct you to the starting point for the tour.
