What is a wellbeing check? Developed from the NHS health check, a wellbeing check provides an opportunity to pick up early signs and risk factors of disease and help people take action.
Who is eligible? You must be aged 18 years or over and either registered with a Hertfordshire GP, or living in Hertfordshire.
Wellbeing checks cannot be undertaken during pregnancy.How long does a wellbeing check take? Approximately 20 - 30 minutesWhat does a wellbeing check involve? Height, weight and waist measurements (all taken fully clothed), blood pressure and pulse readings, carbon monoxide reading if indicated as relevant.
A lifestyle discussion around smoking, alcohol consumption, physical activity and diet.
The wellbeing advisor will use these measurements and discussions to provide you with advice and guidance.
