Sommerville Sessions

The ever-popular Sommerville Sessions returns to Mu Mu's, Week Street, Maidstone on Wednesday 13th April. Hosted by the Award-winning Florence Sommerville, one of the UK's most compelling new voices in country music, this show will bring the cool Nashville vibe of the iconic Bluebird Café (as featured in the NASHVILLE TV Series) to Maidstone. Joining Florence will be Iinternationally-renowned singer-songwriter Bella Rose Manning and London-based Emily Mayne, for an entertaining evening of great songs, friendly banter, laugh-out-loud comedy, the emotional stories behind the songs and amazing vocalising.
Emily Mayne, a London-based singer-songwriter, is known for her compelling vocals and emotionally resonant songwriter. She began writing music at the age of 11 and has developed a unique sound that blends elements of pop, r&b and singer-songwriter genres. She recently released her debut EP, state of mind, losing line. As she explores new themes and sounds, she is definitely an artist to watch in the comg years.
Bella Rose Manning has been a renowned singer-songwriter and performer across the UK and Europe for many years. Her first TV appearance was on Blue Peter when she was just 11, where she was spotted by Simon Cowell. She was signed in Germany by Icezone and Universal Records with girlband Mayor's Destiny and performed all over Germany in iconic venues such as the Bremen Arena and the Nurburgring and has appeared alongside artists such as One Republic, Duffy, Madcon and Sara Bareilles. Bella has worked with various successful producers and songwriters over the years and is now writing her own country album that she will be touring with at various Country Music Festivals in the UK.
