Dobrawa Czocher

Acclaimed Polish cellist and composer Dobrawa Czocher brings her deeply contemplative yet sonically expansive album ‘State of Matter’ to Kings Place.Hailed as ‘one of Europe’s most esteemed contemporary cellists’ (Loud & Quiet), Dobrawa Czocher is internationally recognised for her versatility as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer.Renowned for expanding the expressive range of the cello, she moves fluidly between classical tradition and contemporary experimentation, combining technical precision with a vivid sense of imagination.

Inspired by composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach and Zoltán Kodály, alongside contemporary figures including Max Richter and Steve Reich, her work breathes with rhythmic subtlety and quiet intensity: music that listens as much as it speaks.Presented with Bird On The Wire. This event will last approximately 75 minutes with no interval.Presented by Kings Place. This is a 14+ event
