Maya's Radio Orchestra / Le Faux Chat / Michael Steele

Maya MacAdam is an award winning harpist, violinist, and singer-songwriter with an MA(songwriting) and a first class honours degree from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Her work draws on both her love of classical music along with traditional Scottish culture. She records under the name 'Maya's Radio Orchestra' and her music layers harp, strings, and vocals.She is a current Hen Hoose mentee and was the recipient of the prestigious Paolo Nutini Scholarship 2022. Her music has been featured in SNACK mag, The Skinny, Scotland on Sunday, and her projects have been played on BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 3, BBC Scotland (Roddy Hart show, Travelling Folk and Classics Unwrapped), BBC Radio Ulster (album of the week) amongst others.She likes reading about eels, writing songs about eels, sharing facts about eels, wondering about eels etcetc and it will probably come up at some point if you give her a microphone.Le Faux ChatMichael Steele
