Chris Lintott Astronomy, Artemis 11 and Space

In the wake of the successful Artemis 11 mission in April 2026, we are delighted to welcome Chris Lintott, Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Oxford back to Wantage to reflect on his own research on 'understanding how galaxies form and evolve' and how any findings from Artemis 11's "Voyage of Exploration" as well as potential findings from future Artemis missions may influence astronomy and our understanding of the universe.

Lintott is not only a renowned Astrophysicist, but is equally as well known for being a broadcaster dedicated to making astronomy accessible to the public most notably as a co-primary presenter of the BBC television series The Sky at Night.

He co-authored Bang! - The Complete History of the Universe and The Cosmic Tourist with Patrick Moore and Queen guitarist and astrophysicist Brian May.
