On the back of their debut LP reissue, midwesterners Barreleye stop in Glasgow on their UK tour alongside D.

Jean-Baptiste and Glasgow's own inimitable Plant Science.Barreleye are a trio (bass and guitar / drums / electric piano and synthesizers) formed in 2019 in Urbana, Illinois and cutting their teeth in the Illinois DIY show circuit.

Their previously sold-out "cult" debut cassette One Eye Glitters (2024) is being reissued on LP by London, UK based Kit Records, mastered by Tortoise's John McEntire.

After enjoying their first tour accompanying indie darling Joe Glass (Sharp Pins) in March, they are making the storied leap to the British Isles in June 2026 with fellow traveller D.

All three are active in various groups and improvisation situations, notably the "super conceptual noise duo" ecm and the elusive Shining Example.

Jean-Baptiste is a performer from Chicago experimenting with song by any means necessary.

They work heavily with violin, movement, poetry, sampling, and guitar to craft an ever changing, narrative piece.
