Part of Sonica Glasgow 2026.Triple billCaïn و Muchi & Malo LacroixPart prayer, part curse, part poem, this collaboration between avant-garde musical duo Caïn و Muchi (vocalist Vanda Forte and composer Sinclair Ringenbach) and director Malo Lacroix is an emotive response to the issues galvanising and paralysing us today: the threat of forever war in the Middle East, systemic attacks on feminism and freedom, cultures obliterated in the pursuit of profit.

Haunting Arabic vocals and tough-edged rap mingle with live electronics and Lacroix’s accompanying visuals, which mix documentary footage and abstract visualisations.

Aya’s dizzying mix of musical styles - from drum ’n’ bass and metal to hardcore and grime - is unified by her vocals: a raucous flow which tackles, dismantles and perpetuates information overload, trauma recovery and the ferocious joy of gender affirmation.

As mfo, Marcus Weber brings two decades of experience to bear on accompanying visuals that match aya’s pugnacious performance with pulses, stabs and streaks of stark light.

Together these two artists disorientate to reorientate, pushing the envelope of futuristic dance music.
