Introduction to Etching on Alumium

Master Printmaker Leena Nammari will take us step by step through the process of etching on Alumium.

Aluminium has the double benefit of being the most affordable etching metal and of producing its own aquatint (which generates grey tone layers).

This makes it an accessible and quick introduction to the principles of etching on metal.

This course will take you step by step though the process of making an etching and printing it using an etching press.

This course is a one day workshop but it can also be combined with our Chine Colle and A la Poupee masterclass which runs the following day and will introduce two further techniques for adding colour to etchings.
