Carols and Steam

Join us at the Avon Valley Railway for an evening of carol singing and Christmas cheer onboard our steam train!Our much-loved carol train is returning for two evenings this year.

Join us on the 5th & 6th December for an evening of merriment and festivity.Hop onboard the steam train at Bitton Station, where your journey will begin.

Passengers will then alight at Oldland Common and Avon Riverside to sing some carols together, all with the accompaniment of the brilliant Bristol East & Kingswood Brass Band.

There will also be a special performance by the Avon Valley Railway Choir, singing a festive piece for you at each station.All passengers will also enjoy a complimentary hot drink as well as a seasonal refreshment of a mince pie or shortbread star while they travel the line.

Make sure that you arrive in plenty of time once the gates are open at 18:30 to order your refreshments before the train departs at 19:15.

The journey will last for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (including stops), arriving back to Bitton for carriages at 21:00.Thank you to The Methodist Church Bristol & South Gloucestershire Circuit & to the Bristol East & Kingswood Brass Band for making this event possible.-------------------------Ticket SelectionTo book, simply choose the date and time you wish to travel and select one of the available compartments (seating up to 8 people) or tables (seating up to 4 people).When booking a compartment in our standard carriages, choose your first seat and all 8 seats become highlighted so that no one else can book them.

Then, just choose the different tickets types you need for each of your group from the drop down lists.

For any seats not required simply choose the option 'Empty Seat'.

A minimum of 5 paid for tickets must be booked in a compartment.When booking seats at tables please just select the number of seats you need.
