Anna Dias in Concert

Anna is a young soprano based in the North-East of England.

She completed her undergraduate studies at Newcastle University studying music under the tutorship of Miranda Wright, achieving a first-class degree.

Following on from this, Anna decided to embark on her journey in education and is now working at Scarborough College as Head of Prep School Music.Whilst at Newcastle, Anna was greatly involved in musical opportunities.

She sang with the Newcastle University Chamber Choir and conducted the choir in her second year.

She was also cast as the role of Dido in Newcastle University's production of Dido and Aeneas.Anna has also had recent solo engagements with various choral societies in the area, including Carmina Burana (Orff), Theresa Mass (Haydn), Requiem (Brahms), Coronation Mass (Mozart), Ascension Oratorio (Bach), Requiem (Faur), Magnificat (Bach), Ich Habe Genug (Bach), Messiah (Handel) and St Johns Passion (Bach).

As a member of the prestigious Samling Academy whilst at school and University, Anna participated in masterclasses and performed as a soloist in their annual concerts at the Sage in Gateshead.

Anna has continued to perform in solo recitals alongside David Murray across the area and with The Westerly Trio.In her spare time, Anna enjoys cooking, reading, pilates and running.

She is currently training for the Paris Marathon on April 12th, where she is raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support!You can book your ticket here or you can pay on the door.
