Georgian's Marvellous Medicines

A hands-on look at what treatment options were available 200 years ago. From herbal home remedies to a gruesome visit to the barber-surgeon! Come and meet the Georgian medic to find out about poultices, purges and amputations and take a scented floral pomander home with you.
This drop-in activity is free, and throughout the whole of October your little monsters can take part in our spell bindingly good Halloween house trail for just 50p, which finishes with a treat!
Normal admission charges apply for adults visiting the rest of the museum, under 19's are free.
