Join us this June for our production of 'The Whitby Rebels' by Bea Roberts, a joyful, (mostly) true story of British eccentricity and determination!In Whitby Harbour, in the summer of 1991, something extraordinary happened. A clapped-out trawler set sail for the Arctic, crewed by misfits, pensioners and a vicar. Their mission? To follow in the footsteps of a legendary explorer, re-enact his voyage and erect a plaque on a volcanic island hundreds of miles north of Iceland.The boat was illegal, the crew untrained and the planunhinged!'A right little crackersavagely funny' (The Guardian)
