Sheep Street Sessions: On an Overgrown Path

TheSheep Street Sessions are a series of three chamber concerts featuring a maximum of 5 principal players. They are held at Stratford-upon-Avon's Town Hall - located on Sheep Street - hence the series' name.On an Overgrown Path celebrates the diverse musical heritage of eastern European countries such as Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Serbia and Hungary. This tantalising evening combines traditional music passed down through the centuries with classical repertoire that has been influenced by a myriad of folk-infused flavours; from the pre-medieval sounds of Greece, Turkey, India and Egypt to the art music of Brahms, Bartk, Kodly and Enescu.The Programme:Ravel Tzigane
