Hélène Giannecchini & Joelle Taylor: Chosen Families

Joelle Taylor (Maryville, C+nto & Othered Poems) and Hélène Giannecchini (An Army of Lovers Cannot Fail) consider the political power and potential of queer kinship, each resisting the notion that friendships are second to romantic and family relationships.

Through poetry and creative non-fiction, and by mixing personal history, imagination, and archival research, Taylor and Giannecchini’s work promises a lively conversation on what sustains queer life, from solidarity to resistance, grief to joy.
