Designed for artists of all levels, this mixed media retreat invites you to create a deeply personal art journal whilst exploring layering techniques, bookmaking, and the joy of creative freedom.Throughout the retreat, participants will experiment with gelli plate printing, expressive mark making, layering techniques, and the transformation of gathered, repurposed, and recycled materials into meaningful works of art. Using texture, colour, paper, paint, textiles and found elements, youll build richly layered journal pages that reflect your own creative voice and personal aesthetic.
Youll also learn a simple bookbinding stitch to assemble your handmade journal, creating a one-of-a-kind keepsake that will continue as a source of inspiration long after the retreat ends.This retreat is less about perfection and more about process a space to play, explore, take creative risks, and reconnect with the excitement of making art without rules.
