Inês Alves F. Soares (violin) & Baichuan Hui (piano)

Newly formed violin-piano duo by Inês Alves F. Soares and
Baichuan Hui present a programme featuring works by
Judith Weir, Mozart, Arvo Pärt, Lutosławski, Paul
Schoenfield, and James MacMillan, connected through
their rhythmic vitality, expressive intensity, and richly
distinctive sound worlds. Passionate about collaborating
with contemporary composers and championing new
music, the duo will also perform a newly commissioned
work by Royal Conservatoire of Scotland composer,
Andrew Jacob who brings an energetic freshness to the
programme.
