Ruti

SJM Concerts PresentsRutiWith Special GuestsAt Rough Trade LiverpoolThursday 10th December 2026Ruti (they/them) is a soulful, shape-shifting storyteller whose music blends folk, layered harmonies, and electronic flourishes into something intimate yet expansive.

Born in Essex to a Nigerian father and an English mother and now based in London, Ruti is inspired by the likes of Adele and Labi Siffre.

Their 2025 EP ‘Maybe I Got It Wrong’, is an exploration of identity, family, and connection.

Written across London, LA, and Stockholm, with Tom McFarland (Jungle), Tony Esterly (Sia, BTS), and PomPom (Noah Kahan) it marked a new musical chapter for them and opened doors to support Olivia Rodrigo, Adele, and Bastille.

Ruti's latest project is written closely with Will Bloomfield and Theo Hutchcraft, and will be their most personal yet.

Full, dynamic, and textured, their debut album draws on the flow and poetic intimacy associated with artists like Florence and the Machine, Gigi Perez, and Adrienne Lenker and has earned them YouTube Foundry Rising support and a Gilles Peterson BBC Radio 6 Music Maida Vale Session as well as Spotify RADAR and playlist additions, multiple BBC Radio plays on Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6 Music.SJM Concerts14+ (Under 16s with Adult)
