NAFCo Opening Concert

Join us as we kick off NAFCo 2026 with an exciting opening concert celebrating the fiddle and dance traditions of the North Atlantic.

The evening begins with a very special performance from over 100 local young musicians and dancers from across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

The Flannery Sisters from Cork bring the lively sounds of indigenous Sliabh Luachra music, while Canadian favourites Shane Cook & The Woodchippers promise extraordinary musicianship and premiere step dancing.

Completing the line-up is acclaimed Scottish fiddle player Duncan Chisholm, performing with his exceptional band featuring Hamish Napier, Ross Ainslie and Sorren Maclean.

A fantastic opening night bringing together world-class artists and the next generation of traditional musicians.
