In 2019, from the depths of Glasgow's jazz scene, Amara emerged. At gigs, at rehearsals, out and about on the streets, Amara would freely improvise with one another, weaving themselves and their spirits together so that, no longer individuals, the musicians became one. In early 2023, their paths forked, and the musicians were split across the country.On the 9th of August, for the first time in 3 years, their paths re-join in a coming together with their contemporaries, Obia, whose music tells tales from the Caribbean, their people & folklore, a story of degradation of the spirit, resilience, and re-emergence of being.
Venue Info:Pianodrome Bruntsfield is at The St.Oswald's Center at 41 Montpelier Park, Bruntsfield, Edinburgh EH10 4NB, just parallel to the main street and next to the primary school. We do not check your right to a concession or name your price ticket. If you feel you can afford the full price please select this ticket.
