This trip has grown out of our very successful tour of the Isle of Sheppey in 2024. Whitstable is just a little bit further on and has a wealth of history, historic buildings, market and working harbour for us to visit. On arrival you will be provided with a map and are free to roam where you please during our 6-hour stay.
Key attractions:Whitstable Castle, gardens and caf: Whitstable Castle is a hidden gem nestled within beautiful grounds. This charming Victorian castle offers visitors a chance to explore its history and enjoy stunning gardens. The castle is open to the public, inviting guests to discover its fascinating stories. Whitstable Museum and Gallery is a great place to learn about the towns rich history. The museum is filled with fascinating exhibits showcasing Whitstables heritage. Whitstable Oyster Company: The Whitstable Oyster Company is renowned for its fresh seafood. Sitting right on the beach, it is famous for its delicious oysters and seafood dishes. You can enjoy freshly caught oysters, which are a local delicacy.
Seal Spotting Safari: We have hired two boats from Whitstable Harbour for a tour to see the seals and seal pups in their natural habitat, sunbathing and playing in the shallow waters of the Thames Estuary. There is an extra charge for this when you book. Duration is one hour and we have booked for 1 p.m. with a reserve boat at 2 p.m.This will be a wonderful day by the seaside with something to see and do for everybody.
