Hawklords

The Hawklords stand as one of the most enduring and fiercely independent forces in British space-rock.

Originally forged in 1978 as a creative offshoot of the legendary band Hawkwind by pioneering frontman Robert Calvert and guitarist Dave Brock, the group carved out a distinct identity with their dystopian, industrial-edged debut album 25 Years On.

Though that initial incarnation was short-lived, the band was triumphantly revived in 2008 under the stewardship of long-time Hawkwind alumnus and guitarist Jerry Richards.Today, the modern Hawklords remain incredibly prolific, consistently churning out acclaimed, socially-conscious concept albums and keeping the authentic flame of counter-culture psychedelic rock alive for new generations.Seeing the Hawklords live is an immersive, high-velocity assault on the senses that perfectly captures the gritty, improvisational spirit of classic space-rock.

Led by Richards' blistering guitar work and anchored by a thunderous, hypnotic rhythm section, their concerts are legendary for their raw, interstellar energy and stunning audio-visual production.

The band masterfully blends driving, metallic riffs with swirling synthesizer soundscapes and provocative, poetic lyricism, turning every venue into a cosmic, communal celebration.

For anyone craving an authentic, heavy-psych experience packed with sonic power and a relentless underground attitude, a Hawklords show is absolutely unmissable.
