Larry Tench (Drums)A wonderful evening of sophisticated popular music - from Gershwin to Laufey and more - in an intimate setting.With rich vocals, duets, a vibrant range of instrumentals and cool arrangements, this ensemble will treat you to many vintage and modern classics.Dave, Louise and Lesley have decades of performing experience between them, and as a group have played at numerous jazz events and clubs, Art festivals and concerts in Shropshire and Staffordshire.Louise Adamson has been singing jazz since her teens and first sang with a Big Band as an undergraduate at the University of York, then followed her music BA with a Masters in Classical Singing at Trinity College of Music, She enjoyed a varied professional career with the Monteverdi Choir, Grange Park Opera, Holland Park Opera and many renowned church choirs in London. She currently teaches all styles of singing at Wrekin College and Shrewsbury High School. Her rich jazz vocals are influenced by the warm tones and scat prowess of Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Claire Martin and Norah Jones. When not singing with Wenlock Jazz, she sings A Cappella vocals with the award winning group Vocabella.Lesley Foster is an accomplished saxophonist and band leader with extensive experience across classical, jazz and musical theatre. Originally a grade 8 pianist she later moved into performing in a variety of bands and saxophone quartets. She has been Musical Director for productions such as Cabaret, and has written and arranged music for many shows. She has a diploma from the London College of Music in saxophone and plays soprano, tenor and baritone. She plays a mean blues harmonica too. Can also play spoons if required!Dave Foster brings decades of experience in professional theatre and the performing arts. An accomplished guitarist, bass player and vocalist his work spans jazz, rock, blues and folk traditions as well as light opera. He recorded a CD for Raffles Hotel, Singapore, in a tribute to Noel Coward, showing his musical and theatrical flair. He has done numerous voice overs for radio and was a frequent performer on Singapore television as well as the professional stage. He has directed and performed in many musicals and productions from the classical and modern repertory. He is a published author. His major influence in music is his grandmother.They are accompanied by the celebrated Larry Tench on drums and Peter Cabara on bass.
