Join us for a unique evening with acclaimed comedian, author, broadcaster Robin Ince. Known for his boundless curiosity and infectious enthusiasm for knowledge, Robin is a flibbertigibbet. His working life began in stand-up comedy, but he is excited by too many things to take a single path. He was co-creator and, for 16 years, co-host of the multi-award-winning international successThe Infinite Monkey Cage alongside Professor Brian Cox. He has written books on the universe (and all the stuff that is in it), the neurodivergent mind, giant killer crab novels, and his deep love of bookshops and libraries. In 2024 he started writing poetry obsessively and he loves the freedom that comes with it.This special event will see him discuss his brand-new poetry collection, Let the Quiet Ones Rise, and celebrate the paperback release of his acclaimed book,Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal. Expect an evening filled with wit, insight, and inspiration as Robin Ince shares stories from his eclectic career, reads from his latest works, and explores his deep love of bookshops, libraries, and the joy of learning about anything and everything. Dont miss this chance to experience one of the UKs most original voices in comedy, science, and literature. Book your tickets now!Let the Quiet Ones Rise:A collection of instinctual poetry from the deepest part of a neurodiverg ent heart, considering the sadness of being alone, but also the happiness of finding people who empower you.Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal:What if being a bit weird is actually entirely normal? What if sharing our internal struggles wasnt a sign of weakness, but strength?
For over thirty years, award-winning broadcaster and comedian Robin Ince has entertained thousands in person and on air. But underneath the surface, a whirlwind was at play a struggle with sadness, concentration, self doubt and near-constant anxiety. After his ADHD diagnosis at the age of fifty-two, it all started to make sense. In Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal, Robin uses his own experiences to explore the fascinating world of neurodivergence and to ask what normal really is and whether it even exists. Packed with personal insights,
intimate anecdotes and interviews with therapists, neuroscientists and celebrities, this is a quirky and witty dive
into the world of neuroscience and human behaviour.
A powerful, personal exploration of anxiety, ADHD and self-acceptance, Normally Weird and Weirdly Normal reminds us all - no matter how weird we feel - that its okay to be a little different.
