Commissioned by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), Opera, Amore is a poetic and passionate journey through four centuries of Italian opera — from its Baroque origins to the timeless works of Verdi and Puccini by the Theatre and Academy of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.Guided by the symbolic characters of Music (the soprano) and Love (the tenor), the performance tells the story of how opera became one of Italy’s most enduring cultural expressions, capable of crossing borders and touching hearts around the world.Through a captivating blend of narration, song, and performance, Opera, Amore celebrates the universal language of emotion and the beauty of human connection.
