The Big Shakeout is a microfestival in the Peak District, run by Alpkit and going since 2009. Spend your days doing what you love, or try something new from a programme of 1500 course places, everything from outdoor rock climbing to caving to bushcraft. By evening it is hearty food, a well-stocked bar, adventure films, talks and live music across two stages.
Two nights camping is included in your ticket. Under-16s go free and it is genuinely built for families. First-timers and lifelong outdoor folk, solo adventurers and families, all mixed in together.
