Come along and have a go at making your own harvest token corn dollies!Straw artist Lucy Hook-Child will teach you how to plait using traditional corn dolly methods.
Originally corn dollies were worn as a badge of trade to advertise people were available to work in the fields! Theirs would have been made with wheat straw but we are going to have fun with bright colourful paper artstraws! Choose your favourite colours and decorate with some ribbon or twine!Ages 7+Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.Part of the programme for Witches: Suffolk's Dark Legacy [https://www.suffolkarchives.co.uk/witches-suffolks-dark-legacy/] exhibition, made possible with a grant from the Weston Loan Programme with Art Fund.
