★★★ This event was 'Swinging on Birches' but due to injury, is slightly amended line-up ★★★Heather Cartwright is a Glasgow based singer songwriter (and 1/3 of Swinging on Birches!) whose detailed fingerstyle and flat-picked guitar playing provide a vibrant backdrop to her self-penned songs and interpretations of traditional material.The Peanut Gallery feature Madeleine Stewart (member of Swinging on Birches) and Rufus Hugan (talented cellist in his own right and tonight's stand-in!).
They play a wide range of tunes from funky Americana to traditional Scottish.
Both are no strangers to The Ceilidh Place and we look forward to hearing them in this duo format.
