EVENT COPY: Swinging at the Cotton Club returns to Cadogan Hall with a unique celebration of the music and dance of New York’s legendary 1920s nightclub. The Harry Strutters Hot Rhythm Orchestra and The Lindy Hop Dance Company recreate the hot jazz, Charleston, lindy hop and tap routines that made the Cotton Club famous, with vocalist Marlene Hill fronting a programme that channels the spirit of Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway and their contemporaries.
