Autumn Term - 11 weeks - 23/9, 30/9, 7/10, 14/10, 21/10 (Half Term) 4/11, 11/11, 18/11, 25/11, 02/12, 9/12 (Performance Week)
This is an opportunity for students in years 4, 5 , 6 and 7 to learn either Violin, Viola, Flute or Clarinet in a group as a complete beginner. There are 11 sessions this term which take place in the Music Department at Kingsbridge Community College. In addition to a 30-minute group lesson, students will also take part in a 30-minute Musicianship class, alongside those learning other instruments, during which they will learn basic music theory eg. pitch, notation, dynamics. This is followed by an opportunity to learn ensemble skills by playing together in our Youth Orchestra. This programme costs just 77 for the term (plus a booking fee). There is a discounted rate for those eligible for Pupil Premium (Free School Meals). An instrument will be provided free of charge to use at Music Centre.
