Cadbury Colleges exceptional Performing Arts U6 students present Blue Stockings by Jessica Swale, a powerful and deeply relevant drama that illuminates the courage of the women in Victorian England who fought for the right to study at university.

Our cohort brings emotional depth and clarity to the story of the students at Girton College, whose determination to learn was met with hostility, prejudice and entrenched sexism.

More than a century later, their struggle echoes through our own time, as the rise of modern misogyny in public debate and digital spaces reminds us how fragile progress can be.

Through thoughtful storytelling and committed performances, our U6 students highlight the connection between past and present and offer an urgent call to continue the pursuit of equality.
