Day Time Disco welcomes back Mousse T. to Joshua Brooks, Manchester on 3 May 2025. After his last appearance upstairs in the clubhouse, he's moving to where the sound system lives, the basement.
Mousse T. has been producing house music since the early nineties, and the CV speaks for itself. He co-wrote and produced "Sex Bomb" for Tom Jones, a track that hit #3 on the UK Singles Chart and went global. "Horny '98" with Hot 'n' Juicy topped the Billboard Dance Charts and earned him an Ivor Novello Award. His remix of Moloko's "Sing It Back" is one of the most played reworks in house music history. He received a Grammy nomination for Best Remixer off the back of his Michael Jackson "Ghosts" rework and has since remixed everyone from Simply Red and Kylie Minogue to Purple Disco Machine and CamelPhat.
None of that tells you what he's doing right now, though, and right now might be the busiest stretch of his career. 2024 marked the 30th anniversary of his Peppermint Jam Records label, and he celebrated by releasing a run of new productions and reworked classics throughout the year. "All I Want Is The Bass" dropped in November 2024, a pure club weapon built around a ruthless bassline. Before that came fresh edits of "De La Bass" and "Ain't Nobody," a Riva Starr remix of "Horny," and a collaboration with Dimitri From Paris on a limited 7-inch rework of T-Ski Valley's "Catch The Beat." His collaboration with Wankelmut and Francesco Yates, "Some Kinda Feeling," pushed into disco-pop territory on Australian label Sweat It Out. He sits at around 2.5 million monthly Spotify listeners and Traxsource named him their #1 House Artist in 2020.
2025 marks his tenth year with the Glitterbox family and another summer residency at Hï Ibiza. The Revival House Project - his collective of vocalists and live musicians - has expanded from studio recordings at Abbey Road to live performances at Ministry of Sound and Glitterbox events worldwide. He played the Warehouse Project's Defected NYE at Depot Mayfield in December 2024 and headlined the sold-out Glitterbox NYD at KOKO in London. He described both Manchester and London shows as career highlights.
This time, he's in the basement at Joshua Brooks, under the bricked arches with the Void Acoustics system doing the work. His sound has always been built on warm basslines, crisp production, and proper funk-driven grooves - exactly the kind of music that fills a low-ceiling room from the floor up.
