America 250: The Sussex Declaration with Danielle Allen

To mark the 250th anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence, West Sussex Record Office is holding special viewings of the unique document that has become known as the Sussex Declaration.This will be an opportunity to see and learn more about the Sussex Declaration and see some of the many other documents that show the shared history of West Sussex and the United States over the centuries.For this event only, there will be a short talk from Professor Danielle Allen who led the Declaration Resources Project at Harvard University and has since been carrying out further research for her forthcoming book, The Radical Duke: How One Aristocrat — and the American Revolution — Transformed Britain.
