Based on the hugely popular BBC sitcom, this stage version - written especially for the original television cast by Jimmy Perry and David Croft - is rarely performed, and we are delighted to have the unique opportunity to present it at the Paget Rooms.Set in the 1950s at Maplins Holiday Camp, the story follows the colourful team of entertainers and staff as they juggle big dreams, awkward romances, and plenty of behind-the-scenes chaos.

Peggy dreams of swapping her cleaners mop for a coveted yellow coat, Yvonne and Barry dream of becoming ballroom champions, Gladys Pugh has her eye firmly on the camp manager Jeffrey Fairbrother, and Fred Quilley, best known for giving donkey rides, dreams of one day winning the Grand National.Whether you fondly remember the original BBC series that ran for nine seasons in the 1980s or are discovering it for the first time, youre in for a treat.
